Revell plastic model kit - Scharnhorst, with a battery of nine 28 cm guns, was a potent weapon in the North Atlantic. In the summer of 1940, she destroyed the aircraft carrier HMS Glorious with one of the historically longest-range naval hits. Ultimately, she fell victim to Germany's aversion to fleet tactics. On a mission to attack an Allied convoy, she was singled out by a numerically superior force from the British Home Fleet and was sunk by the HMS Duke of York. The kit contains 122 parts and the finished model is 406 mm long.
