Just wanted to drop you guys a small note to say thanks for all the wonderful and diverse toys you carry in your Burlington location. And also for having both helpful and friendly staff to assist us. Both our boys (just about to turn 4) have autism and it can be very challenging finding traditional toys they will play with. But your store always has toys that give us great ideas of ways to try to help communicate and play with them. Just recently, you had some monster puppets that had giant mouths and made squeaking noises, and even though both our boys are non-verbal, the puppets helped us create fun opportunities to encourage language development. Your closest location is a bit of a drive away, but it's always worth the trip out there.
I would just like to express my appreciation for the great service given to me by "Phil". We needed a small part that I had lost and Phil went out of his way to find this part from the Carrera rep and has now mailed it to me. I realize he spent more time finding it for me than what the charged me for the part, but with his great attitude, it didn't feel too "guilty" for him finding the part. I am in retail and I am fully aware of how important a dedicated employee is, and as a customer, I am very , very satisfied with Phil's quality of service. Thanks again to Phil.
I just wanted you to know how much I appreciated the help from Nikki in the Kitchener store last week. An extra long rubber snake isn't something I go looking for very often and this project had a very short time line. Nikki went above and beyond to make sure I had what I was looking for, had it quickly and felt comfortable with my decision. Her customer service, manner, and initiative were well above what is unfortunately often found. I'm grateful.
I am thrilled to shop in "Hobby and toy Central!" This is my first experience shopping in this location and I am pleased to state that this will be the only store that I will purchase toys, crafts and hobbies in the future. They truly have everything that you may require for both children and adults. The staff are knowledgeable, respectful and considerate, which is a rare quality when shopping. The store is well stocked with a wide variety of models (ships, aircraft, cars), plenty of choice of toys, games, puzzles and activity items for play and learning for children of all ages and genders. Staff are pleasant, informative and very amenable. Shopped there three times and never disappointed.
Went to your store yesterday!!! AWESOME! The staff was so knowledgeable and helpful, also very honest. I asked outright if the kit that was $20 more expensive would be $20 more fun and he said the only real difference is this elevator which is likely too difficult to manage for a 2 year old. I was really impressed he didn't try to sell me the "better" one he sold me the one that was ACTUALLY better for my kid. Also you expect a smaller toy store to be more expensive but the prices were really reasonable and the incentive plan is very attractive too. I was having trouble finding really cool things for Owen and now my shopping is done.
Our grandaughters are inquisitive and we can always find unique games and crafts to challenge them.
Love coming into this store to look for presents for the adults, teenagers and children in my family. There really is something for everyone. The staff know their store and even when they re busy, can direct you to what your looking for.
I used to go to the original Hobby and Toy Central store in Burlington every year to do my Christmas shopping because the staff there made it so easy! I would go with my Christmas list of ten or fifteen children and the staff would help me pick the perfect present within the budget I had allocated, from $5 to $30 per child. This was before I had children so I really appreciated the help, and the children always raved about the gifts I got them. Of course, I was delighted when they opened the Kitchener store much closer to my house.

Have only shopped a few times but have had a great success finding the right gifts for my grandkids. Very helpful staff.
Each summer I buy a new card game to take camping. This year it was Scopa. It is easy to learn, quick and fun. A bit of strategy is needed if you want to win!

Playmobil has been a huge favourite with my nieces and nephews. With ages ranging from 3-14 all of them, including the 14 year old have enjoyed playing with the Grande Mansion, the Pony Farm and new this year was the Police Station.
