Leatherback Sea Turtle

Size and Color: Like all leatherback turtles, this figurine has a dark black carapace, head, and flippers, speckled with white dots. It stands 5.25 inches wide and 4.25 inches long, both measurements about an inch bigger than the dimensions of a credit card.

Also known as the lute turtle, the leatherback sea turtle is the largest of all living turtles and is the second heaviest known reptile, with the first being the crocodile. Unlike other turtles, it lacks a bony shell and is instead protected by thick layers of skin and flesh.
