Bachmann HO digital train set - Transcontinental Train Set with Sound and DCC -- Union Pacific, Central Pacific 4-4-0 Locomotives.
East meets West in the HO Scale Transcontinental Train Set with Sound and DCC from Bachmann. History was made 150 years ago when the Transcontinental Railroad was completed in Promontory, Utah, on May 10, 1869. A face-to-face meeting of two locomotives and the driving of golden and silver spikes to join the last two sections of track were the climax of the famous Golden Spike ceremony. Now you can celebrate this momentous event with this sound and DCC train set.
This limited-edition set has everything you need to get started in digital model railroading. It includes two decoder-equipped 4-4-0 commemorative locomotives from the railroads that connected on the momentous occasion: Central Pacific's No. 60 "Jupiter" and the Union Pacific's No. 119. The set also includes an old-time wooden coach decorated for Central Pacific and an old-time wood combine decorated for the Union Pacific. An easy-to-use E-Z Command(R) digital system lets you independently control the sound, speed, direction, and lighting of the engines on a 56 x 38" oval of snap-fit E-Z Track(R) with a turnout and spur. All cars are equipped with E-Z Mate(R) knuckle couplers and complete instructions are included. The Transcontinental Train Set is a limited-run set and includes a Collectors' Card with an individual production number (only 1000 sets produced).
