Blue Pyrois
Blue Pyrois
In Greek Mythology, Pyrois is one of four immortal horses that pulled the chariot of the sun-god Helios, carrying the sun above the horizon at dawn, and across the sky during the day. The other horses' names vary, but are sometimes given as Abraxas, Eous, Aethiops, Bronte, Sterope, Aethon, and Phlegon.
Characteristics: This fan-favorite mythical horse figure is back with a new striking "blue flame" coloration. Powerful enough to draw the sun across the sky, yet gentle enough to eat from the hand of a child, Pyrois was said to be the favorite of the four immortal horses who pulled Helios’ chariot through the sky. Its flaming appearance symbolizes its important role in bringing daylight to the land, and its name means “Flame.”
