Come see for yourself just how fast a Rubik’s Cube can be solved.
Eric Limeback, an internationally recognized “speedcuber” who holds an official Canadian record in solving multiple cubes blindfolded and the third-fastest time in the country solving the standard 3x3 cube (7.07 seconds!), will be in our Kitchener store Saturday, September 27 to demonstrate his almost supernatural ability to solve the perplexing puzzle faster than almost anyone — even with one hand behind his back.
Limeback, a 21-year-old 4th-year Wilfrid Laurier University business student, is one of Canada’s foremost competitors in speedcubing, a race against the clock that requires extreme focus, finger dexterity, memorization and pattern-recognition.
Don’t miss this rare opportunity to witness his unique skills in person and meet the young mastermind — maybe you’ll even get a tip or two from one of the best!
During the event, Limeback will demonstrate his lightning-quick cube solving on the new Rubik’s Speed Cube, a totally redesigned puzzle with a special mechanism that minimizes friction between internal moving parts.
Visitors will receive special giveaways and can enter to win one of two Rubik’s gift baskets valued at $150 each.
- Date: Saturday, September 27
- Time: 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
